Running for 87 miles across the centre of the Wiltshire, the Kennet & Avon Canal is Wiltshire's main waterway.
Boat trips are available from Bradford-on-Avon, Brassknocker Basin and Devizes, making a popular and relaxing way to enjoy the splendid scenery, and there are excellent opportunities for walking and cycling along the towpath.
On the Devizes Wharf the Canal Trust runs an award-winning Canal Museum and shop.
